Double TT winner, Cameron Donald wears a Davida Classic carrying the Geoff Duke Norton Racing Design at 2017 Classic IOM TT Parade onboard the only surviving 1950 Works Norton
Passionate about Classic bike racing, Davida believe it's vitally important to celebrate our racing heritage by keeping race track helmet art alive.
Restored by Ken McIntosh, Bruce Anstey rode the same 'Works' Manx Norton on the Geoff Duke Memorial Lap in 2015, wearing the Davida Geoff Duke Norton Replica helmet.
Ken McIntosh (NZ) has made a strong name for himself at the Classic TT, with Bruce Anstey (NZ) lapping 108mph on a McIntosh Racing 500cc Manx Norton in 2014, giving Cameron Donald (AUS) has every possible chance of a podium in the 2017 Junior Classic TT Race on a 350cc Norton Petty built by the Kiwi classic racing supremo.
Cameron Donald said: “I’ve worked with Ken on and off for a long time and I know how good his bikes are. It’s always going to be a hard up against the multi cylinder bikes, but these are races of attrition and with four consistently fast laps I hope to be close when the chequered flag goes out.”
12 times TT winner, Bruce Anstey was joined on the Geoff Duke Memorial Lap by Geoff's son, Peter Duke. Riding one of his father's MV racing machines, Peter choose to wear the Davida Classic carrying the most Iconic of his father's helmet racing designs- the red Lancashire Rose. This particular Geoff Duke Replica is part of the Davida Racing Series. Introduced in 1997 the Series recreates 17 world Champions from around the world, many are TT Champions from the 50's & 60's.
Peter Duke is MD of Duke Media and our Davida Dealer on the IOM where you can explore Davida products whilst on the Island.
Davida's legendary helmet art skills appeared within historical moments of the first IOM Classic TT in 2013 when John McGuiness & Giacomo Agostini recreated the Senior TT race between Hailwood and Agostini in 1967.
The TT Races Paddock truly turned the clock back to 1967 with McGuiness wearing a Hailwood Honda Replica created for him by Davida UK.
Giacomo Agostini and John McGuinness recreated the Italian legend's battle with Mike Hailwood in the Diamond Jubilee Senior TT, which was ultimately won by the Englishman after Hailwood clawed back Agostini's lead before Italian's chain broke on the fifth lap, handing victory to Hailwood.
John McGuinness appeared riding a Mike Hailwood replica Honda owned by John Chapman while Giacomo Agostini paraded his own MV Agusta.
At the end of the lap John McGuinness said that it was 'a real honour' to be chosen to represent Mike Hailwood while Giacomo Agostini joked that John had stopped to help him fix his chain on the Mountain.
