Coming up is Davida’s busiest Spring weekend in the calendar with the Pre TT in the Isle of Man (IOM) and the Bike Shed, Tobacco Dock in London both happening 24 to 27 May 2019.
Our Founder and Managing Director David ‘Fid the Lid’ Fiddaman will be dividing his time across both events, to make sure he is at the Bike Shed from Friday to Sunday. Then over to the IOM to support the Davida racers at the Pre TT Races and finally arriving back at the Davida factory on Tuesday. From the factory he has the perfect view over the Mersey to Liverpool and the sailing point back to the IOM.

You see by the ear protectors on Fid that he is prepared for an open mega event. There were 36 racers on the grid on Thursday night, with an average speed of 104mph, and with a mass start on a 4.7 mile circuit, it’s going to be loud.

‘The Davida Factory have done a great job preparing Davida Koura full face Helmets for Mike Hose racing at the Pre TT Southern Hundred Circuit at the IOM this weekend’ – Fid.
Louise ensures the Mike Hose is 100% happy with his new Davida Koura helmet
Davida's Louise and John gave him our full Race Fit Service which is all about having the right visor and cheekpads to cope with a bumpy racing surface. Mike’s Triumph Weslake did 169mph through the speed trap on Thursday night so he needs a helmet to fit perfectly.

‘Vision from the Davida Koura is outstanding’ says Mike ‘comfort and high speed stability is spot on’.

Mike has won the Pre TT Classic race more times than any other competitor: eighteen in total, and he is aiming to make it nineteen this year. But watch out Mike, following hot on your heels is another star Davida rider: Bill Swallow. Bill has won the title sixteen times before using a Davida Jet open face helmet, a style he has used since 2004.

We wish them both the very best of luck at the weekend.
And whilst these fast boys are racing, Davida will also be exhibiting at the Bike Shed in London's Tobacco Dock, an event we have supported for a decade and are very proud to be associated with.

At the Bike Shed you will be able to try on a full range of 94 Koura, 93 Speedster V3, 80 Jet, 92 Ninety Two helmets as well as our Original Jeantet Aviator Goggles, so we can get the perfect combination for you. Amie & Lee will be on the stand and can show you 4 of the KOURA RACERS HELMETS which we will have on display, so you can see what is being used right now.

Also, in celebration of our tenth anniversary with Bike Shed, we will be showcasing our collaborations over the years with: the Belgian artist Roland Groteclaes whose cutting edge artwork features in our brochure, premiering in 2017 at Tobacco Dock; Kaffeemachine Germany; Wheels & Waves UK; and our latest project with SAROLÉA Belgium which has resulted in a stunning customised carbon fibre prototype helmet: a Davida Koura Helmet matched with the SAROLÉA Manx 7 electric racer... they have done a great job and it looks quite something!

At the time of writing we at Davida were, and still are, the only motorcycle helmet manufacturer based in the UK.
